Hello
Roan Yarn is an artist and entrepreneur whose work blends creativity, technology, and social impact. Through painting, design, and storytelling, Roan creates art that not only captures moments but also fuels broader missions—supporting underserved communities, driving innovation in real estate, and bridging the worlds of culture and commerce.
My Story
Roan’s career began in an artist loft surrounded by musicians and creatives, where he played bass guitar in the avant-garde instrumental jazz group Hunab Ku Quartet. He was finishing a bachelor degree at Morehouse College at the time and had begun exhibiting his abstract landscape paintings at various galleries in Midtown Atlanta GA, where he's from. In 2000, he made the fateful decision to leave visual art creation behind in pursuit of building something akin to art but fundamentally social in nature. He observed that artist, being chronically poor, gravitated to the cheap real estate around town, which attracted other artists and over time, vibrant culturally rich communities would inevitably attract real estate developers who entered the housing market, increasing property values and driving out the very artist who built the community. This didn't sit well with him, so he decided to put his talents to use in a more impactful way by owning real estate investments, providing housing and spaces for artists and their communities to thrive. This journey has been a unique path which has woven arts, business and technology within itself. It's winded its way back to the beginning now, encompassing all aspects of his works. Roan's initiatives connect fine art with real estate innovation, launching projects that use technology and tokenization to open access to investment and community development. As both an artist and builder, Roan is committed to creating work that inspires, empowers, and leaves a lasting impact on people and places.
